General Description

Owl Lodge is a privately owned pine lodge providing luxury accommodation for up to four people. It is located on Limefitt Park in the heart of the Lake District.

Owl Lodge benefits from an elevated setting within the park, so it is not overlooked and backs onto woodland, the home of deer and badgers. It has wonderful views of Troutbeck Valley from its extensive decking and from the lounge windows.

Limefitt Park is a quiet secluded base for a holiday. Superb walks to the surrounding fells lead directly from the park. However, although it is a sleepy and secluded place to spend a holiday, major tourist towns such as Windermere and Ambleside are within five miles. Lake Windermere is only 3 miles away, and views across the lake can be seen on short walks from Limefitt.

The lodge has full central heating and double glazing ensuring that you will have a cosy holiday no matter which season you choose to visit. Limefitt Park has a pub which serves excellent 'pub grub', a well equipped shop, an adventure playground, a sports field and a safe river pool which is great for kids on sunny summer afternoons.

Owl Lodge comprises;

• Open plan lounge and dining area, with a feature fireplace, sofa, armchair, oak coffee table, oak dining table with four chairs.
• French doors opening out onto west facing decking
• 32" Panasonic LCD TV with Freeview and built in dvd player
• Music centre with DAB radio, CD player and i-pod dock
• Selection of CDs, dvds (rentals also available from the shop) and guidebooks
• Fully fitted kitchen with gas hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, built-in microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker.
• Main bedroom with double bed, fitted wardrobes and LCD TV with Freeview and dvd player
• En-suite (shower, toilet and basin)
• Second bedroom with twin beds and fitted wardrobe
• Main shower room with large walk-in shower, toilet and basin
• Elevated decking to two sides (south and west facing), with garden furniture
• Off-road parking to front of lodge for two cars

Limefitt Park is situated on the A592 from Windermere to the Kirkstone Pass and Ullswater. It is about 3 miles from Windermere, and 9 miles from Ullswater.

If you are using a Satnav, enter the postcode LA23 1PA.

Within the Park, Owl Lodge's address is Pinewood 25. Turn first right over the bridge, and follow the road round the one-way system. Owl Lodge is on the left backing onto the woodland.

Rental Information:

• Full week rentals run from Saturday to Saturday (7 nights)
• Weekend rentals run from Friday to Monday (3 nights)
• Midweek rentals run from Monday to Friday (4 nights)
• Please note that short breaks are not available at peak times.
• Check in time is from 4pm on the day of arrival; the lodge should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
• A deposit of £100 will secure your booking; the balance is due 4 weeks before arrival.
• Payments can be made by cheque or electronic transfer.
• The rental fees shown above include
  • All gas and electricity.
  • The use of duvets and pillows.
  • All bed linen, towels and tea towels.
  • Cleaning and laundry charges.
  • The use of a hairdryer and iron/ironing board.

  • No smoking is allowed in the lodge or on the decking.
