They still don't seem to have got around to providing that list of second hand lodges for sale on the SLP site.

It's 12 months now since I first checked this out. For a company worth over £100 million this is rather poor isn't it.

Maybe they are just too excited with all of the new lodges going up!

Still no change with the start of the new season. That's disappointing!

It still says "Here is a list of all the units for sale at Limefitt." and then doesn't mention any of the private sales - just the ones that SLP are trying to sell themselves.

I am very disappointed that, having brought this issue up with the CEO himself, that SLP are still misleading potential customers and denying their owners the chance of advertising on their site - even though they expect them to pay over 8% in commission if they do eventually manage to sell.

The rationale for not showing the privately available second hand lodges (or to be fair all of the new ones) is that if they start to do it now they will always have to. In hard times if buyers could see how many were for sale it might devalue them.

I am not really convinced by that argument as the result always seems to be that SLP just show their own but not the private ones. Maybe if they advertised the private 2nd hand lodges and didn't advertise their own I'd be more inclined to allow with their point of view but maybe I'm just an old cynic 

For those interested in 2nd hand lodges reception at Limefitt DO have a list of second hand units.The last copy I saw doesn't actually tell you how long is left on the leases which makes it a bit hard to gauge relative value, but the list does exist.

The last one I saw showed four 2 bedroomed lodges and two 3 bedroomed lodges for sale.

And here we are in Autumn 2008 and there are STILL no second hand lodges for sale at Limefitt according to the SLP web site

Well actually I know of 9 lodges and one caravan (that's nearly 10 percent of the park) that are for sale, but for some reason if you look on their website you won't find them, although they do show you all of their new lodges.

This cynical attitude towards existing customers ought to be making potential purchasers ask a few questions.

(and if anyone from SLP is reading this your web site doesn't work in Firefox (which is used by about 10% of web users) so you can't make the "Park", "Type" and "Status" drop down boxes work even to find the new lodges)

Well there's no pre-owned lodges showing again. 

Times must be hard for their new lodge sales I suppose, and if you are trying to shift units at £150k you probably wouldn't want to advertise the fact that you can buy a second hand lodge the same size with 46 instead of 50 years on the lease for under £100k would you 

Well their sign outside the park says "Private Sales" rather than "Second Hand".

Perhaps the penny is finally dropping down at Natland that if they want to sell the new ones at £150k - £200k it's not helping them having so many second hand ones that just are not shifting at under £100k!

Stil I shoudn't knock ANY improvements made by SLP - such improvements are few enough and far between enough that maybe we shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.
